administration.but tippecanoe county democratic party chair heather maddox doesn't agree. in fact, she says trump's picks have been terrifying in some cases. #@maddox: "i wish i could say i was surprised but i'm not,"kayla: tippecanoe heather maddox says she was
hoping president elect donald trump would prove her wrong. maddox: "it could have been a great opportunity to say here i am in here now, now this is how i'm going to lead, well, he is showing us that!"kayla: she's mostly referring to his pick for attorney general,
alabama senator jeff sessions. maddox: "this is a guy that couldn't even get confirmed as federal judge he got rejected and there were good reasons for that some of them being racist comments that he made and his record in the past but i just don't think that's who
we as a country want as our attorney general,"kayla: but congressman todd rokita disagrees. rokita: "i don't i haven't done any legislative work with him, but his credentials seem to be very good he used to do this kind of work before he was a
senator." kayla: rokita also supports trump's other picks so far.. such as.. congressman mike pompeo as cia director and lt. general michael flynn for national security advisor. rokita: "i think the appointments have been
excellent so far, they're just starting i have several friends that have already been appointed."kayla: he says despite what you may have heard, the transition process is running smoothly.rokita: "having of course our governor head the transition team i
think the process is going forward, i think it's actually ahead of schedule in some places,"@# rokita says he's working to try to place hoosiers in the administration, we asked who he was referring to but he declined to specify. kayla
