our students actually took up mastering themainframe competition. my friends and i, we got excited and we wantedreally to try it out. it was a challenge to learn. you learn a lot and you get exposed to a newworld. we have quite a number of young people whoare exceptional. young guys are here a few days and they're doing something. our students are way ahead because of theunderstanding now they have. they've been able to go through the challenges, level one, level two and now to the final. it was a very nice collaboration with peoplein the university, critical thinking, creative
thinking skills, problem solving, interactionwith other people. the knowledge of wanting to learn more aboutthe mainframe. the mtm challenge was just a start and i reallylove to work in the mainframe world. it's given them an edge in terms of the field.and in fact, it has even helped our students at the moment sit to for certification andquite a number of them are now certified. it prepares them to start their own companies. it was actually good to see how i can applythis on a large scale to solve a real life problem. i want to incorporate the skills i learnedon the mainframe will probably use the skill
set in my new business. i like to do a job that has impact on society, that will change our society in a positive way. whatever the mechanism behind it, i foundit to be something can help out in the future. because of collaboration, we've been ableto tackle the problems much faster. that lesson of coming together is very importantand this is the opportunity that ibm has provided. the mainframe is one of the best challengesone can have. it's only a drive of interest, a drive offocus for the future. if you work together and put your mind toit, there is nothing that you can't accomplish.
